Michael Pollan’s best-selling book, Botany of Desire, is now a film. The film takes you inside our relationship with the plant world, and shows “how four familiar species — the apple, the tulip, cannabis and the potato — evolved to satisfy our yearnings for sweetness, beauty, intoxication and control.” The preview is above.     Nice video.
    It shows how magnificient is knowledge. The everyday plants (tulip is hard to see here, I have to cook potatoes tomorrow, I always try to have apples at home and in my job I usually confiscate cannabis) aren't just simple objects. They are, as everything, items with history, future, curiosities...
